Testimonials & Press:

As a professor in classes and workshops with Pacific New Media, I know Hadley Gustafson as a student and friend. She is energetic, inquisitive, and highly creative. Her presence in the classroom makes a difference due to her care for others and articulate responses to the other participant’s work. Hadley is a talented photographer and filmmaker whose work perceptively highlights aspects of the human condition.

One of her most noteworthy characteristics is her interest in and involvement with documenting Hawaiian cultural traditions. Hadley’s photographic work that highlights aspects of Hawaiian culture is perceptive, sensitive, and both timely and timeless.

I would unhesitatingly recommend Hadley for any initiative or position involving documentary work, portraits, and furthering the Hawaiian cultural heritage. Her talent, eagerness to learn, and creativity would well support any environment of which she is a part.”

I had the pleasure of having Hadley in a few classes I taught and she did a great job producing motion graphics, even though her creative skill set is quite expansive. Not only that, but she has such a wonderful personality and works so well with others; a bonus for any team. At UNC-Chapel Hill, she also showcased lots of creativity and technical proficiency. I highly recommend her.

Hadley made me a beautiful website. Ever since she completed the site, I have received numerous calls for my business. I usually receive a new call at least once a week. My business keeps growing, and all I do is pick up the phone or my email. I have had friends sending the link to other friends too. She did a great job and was very professional. Hadley’s creative flow has definitely helped my business, and I continue to see it growing every week.

Hadley is one of the brightest students I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with. Her zeal for the creative process is outstanding. She is a very accomplished artist in her own right; graphic design is the right transition for her. She invests in her work through superb attention to detail, design aesthetic, understanding of all aspects of design, and implementing them in cohesive and comprehendible communication. I have also rarely met someone with the honesty and integrity that is her foundation.

Thanks to Hadley‘s identifying a grant for us, advising us in the selection of video and audio gear, and helping us write our proposal, we received a $5,000 pandemic pivot grant from the Maui Economic Development Board. With those funds, we have been able to accomplish the following:

  • We have created a small recording studio that has allowed us to internet-broadcast educational programs reaching an international audience.
  • We have been offering Zoom funeral and memorial services.
  • We will soon start offering life-tribute compilation videos too.

  • We have started providing online one-on-one grief counseling sessions.
  • In these times when people are not gathering in groups due to covid, we have been able to provide needed services, support, counsel, and education.
  • This has helped fund our services to those unable to pay.
  • As a nonprofit educational and charitable organization, we offer services to the dying, their families, those wishing to educate themselves about their approaching death and in the care of their loved ones, and those professionals who work in these fields.
  • Our funding relies primarily on our programs, training, counseling, donations, and grants; so this recent grant has helped us to help more people.

Hadley not only gets the job done, but she is a delightful person to work with. She’s a responsible person with great integrity, she’s passionate about her work, and she’s fun to work with!

Hadley does it all, and does it all very well.

I’ve had the privilege of working directly with her, and she is a passionate and compassionate creative with mad skills. She can handle the complexities of design and layout for major clients and meet every deadline along the way. She’s a co-conspirator of conceptualization, bringing fresh perspectives and intriguing angles to even the most static of strategic briefs. She gets Adobe. She gets photography. But most importantly, she gets people, understanding what motivates them to act.

You won’t find a stronger asset for your next creative assignment. I’d reach out to her before someone else does.

When I taught Hadley advanced Web design using Adobe software, I found that Hadley very quickly grasped not only procedures but also concepts. She was an excellent student, prepared and interested throughout the course. I was also impressed by her artistic abilities and imagination, and would recommend her to anyone who needed a graphic artist or website designer.
